Gov’t To Pause Vaccine Roll-Out

The Bahamas government will pause the roll out of the Oxford Astra-Zeneca Covid-19 vaccine in order to “reassess the roll-out,” according to The Tribune.

The halt will begin on Friday, April 16, as health officials contemplate where we are in terms of demand and -perhaps more importantly- a supply standpoint. The current vaccine in use in the country was developed by Oxford-Astra Zeneca and requires two doses, with the jabs done weeks apart.
